A note on the naming convention: Chris's wife, Kyra, began naming her electronic devices based on characters from the Arthurian cycle. Myrddin is the Welsh name for Merlin; grimoire is a book of magic; Pendragon is the family name of Arthur; and Avalon is the elusive, heavenly island where Arthur is taken to recover from the wounds of his last battle.
